selling in public

does anybody in here have any experience selling their wares on the street or other public areas in town? im interested in any knowledge of specific regulations regarding sidewalks, public parks, fixed vs. strolling vending, or selling out of a vehicle. barring that, how likely are the cops to hassle somebody selling on the street?

    You can always try a first thursday, but the spaces are limited, the companies want compensation for their spaces and if you try to just sell out of your car, you'll be ignored unless you have some sort of active attraction (juggler, music, band, etc)

    We could always try to create a South Lamar venue... South Congress has gone the way of the snooty rich snobs. Saw Alton Brown there once, but he ignored me as I tried to tell him "hello"
